A little about me
I’m a senior web developer with over twenty years experience specialising in Microsoft and web technologies (ASP.NET, .Net Core, MVC, Web Forms, Azure, C#, SQL Server, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Knockout.js, mobile apps, CI/CD).
I am a full stack developer who likes to specialise performance, security, continuous integration / deployment, and in front end frameworks, making sure the project delivers the best experience for the user,
Recently I have architected and developed a system for the oil industry that monitors and controls remote devices via satellite. The cloud based solution comprises of a collection of APIs, application portals and services. I have established the development and project methodologies, architecture, continuous integration/deployment and testing processes for the company.
In a previous role I worked on mobile projects, including a a mobile SDK for banking, window services and web APIs.
Over the course of my career I have been a project manager and technical manager but these days I prefer to be a hands on developer. My previous management experience gives me a well rounded view on development projects and getting the best from teams.
In my spare time I like to work on my own projects including an app that I am hoping to release later this year.
